Green Gets Greener: AGUP Equipment Partners with Delta Solar on Solar Array
AGUP Equipment, a long-time agricultural equipment business serving southeast Arkansas and Mississippi, partnered with Delta Solar on a 256 kW solar array for its facility. The system was projected to meet roughly 80% of the site's electricity demand and deliver nearly $1 million in energy savings over 30 years.
The project illustrates why solar is such a strong fit for equipment dealers, ag service businesses, and rural commercial operations. These facilities often carry meaningful daytime energy loads, which makes on-site generation especially valuable when paired with thoughtful system sizing.
AGUP also highlights the importance of incentive stacking. Commercial buyers can often pair the federal Investment Tax Credit with accelerated depreciation, and depending on timing and eligibility, additional support may be available through more recent federal policy changes.
For Delta Solar, projects like AGUP are a reminder that solar is not just for utilities or large corporations. It is also a practical tool for established Arkansas businesses that want lower operating costs and more control over long-term energy spend.
