Woodlawn Groundbreaking Ceremony

Delta Solar celebrated a major milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for the Woodlawn School District solar project. The event brought together school administrators, community leaders, and the Delta Solar team to mark the beginning of construction on what will be one of the largest school solar installations in the region.

The 512 kW ground-mount system represents a significant investment in the district's future, with projected energy savings that will benefit students and taxpayers for decades to come. The project was made possible through a combination of federal tax incentives and careful financial planning by the school district and our team.

At the ceremony, Delta Solar CEO Douglas Hutchings spoke about the importance of bringing solar energy to educational institutions: "Schools are the heart of our communities, and solar energy helps them redirect funds from utility bills to classrooms. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2023, with the system generating clean energy for the school district for 25+ years.
