Peoples Bank of Sheridan Partners with Delta Solar to Go 100% Solar
Peoples Bank of Sheridan became one of the first community banks in Arkansas to pursue a fully solar-powered headquarters through a 56 kW installation with Delta Solar. The system was designed to offset 100% of the bank's energy demand at its Sheridan headquarters.
According to the original project announcement, the array was expected to save the bank more than $243,000 over 30 years. Leadership framed the project as both an environmental decision and a financial one, with early operating results showing a meaningful reduction in monthly power costs.
This project is a good example of solar working outside the farm and industrial categories. Financial institutions, office users, and community-serving businesses can also be strong candidates when the usage profile, roof or land conditions, and ownership structure align.
