The Heartland Challenge 2022

Delta Solar again supported the Heartland Challenge, a University of Arkansas entrepreneurship competition built around student-led, high-growth ventures. The event brings together teams from across the country to pitch practical ideas with commercial and community impact.

As part of the 2022 event, Delta Solar presented its own Innovation Award to the team whose concept best reflected creative problem-solving and broad societal value. That year's winner was KLAW Industries, a startup using recycled glass waste in concrete applications to improve performance while lowering emissions.

While not a direct solar case study, the Heartland Challenge reflects an important part of Delta Solar's public positioning: support for innovation, entrepreneurship, and technologies that improve the built environment. It also ties back to the company's roots in the Arkansas startup ecosystem.
